Joachim Von Ribbentrop is a personality who interested me when I was studying the life of the Duchess of Windsor. Rumors spread through the upper classes in London that Wallis Simpson was having a second affair with VON RIBBENTROP at the same time she was the mistress of Edward, Prince of Wales-later Edward VIII. The scandal was that Prince Edward/Edward VIII was free with the secret information of the government and shared this sensitive knowledge with Wallis who then passed it on to Von Ribbentrop, her other lover. The situation was serious enough that Roosevelt placed spies in key circles to watch these relationships and the fear for government secrets. Von Ribbentrop was a very elegant, arrogant individual who charmed the Duchess who had the morals of an alley cat–sophisticated, elegant, jeweled, and sly!
Well, this new play is to be seen throughout Britain. When I read the report this morning about the play with Von Ribbentrop’s WATCH as the center theme, I had to post the article for my readers. Several years ago, I saw news reel footage of Von Ribbentrop arriving in London with an assignment from HITLER: keep the British Government out of his aggression on the Continent. Von Ribbentrop was Hitler’s FIX-IT man. At his trail in Nuremberg in 1946, Von Ribbentrop denied having any knowledge of the Concentration Camps or the Jewish question; however, the War Tribunal condemned him to death, and he was the first Nazi hanged at Nuremberg.
Read the article about the play VON RIBBENTROP’S WATCH. This will be of great interest to my readers. The article is fascinating.
