This is WOOL WEEK in London. The Prince of Wales’s project to regenerate the wool industry by drawing on London tailers and retailers to support his effort to return British clothing back to natural fibers has come to the streets of London.
SAVILE ROW was transformed into a meadow where sheep grazed. The public responded with cameras, newspaper articles, and retailer support. Fifteen sheep are grazing in front of Selfridges, and Prince Charles is addressing the crowd via video.
This emphasis to return life back to natural fiber is part of the Prince of Wales’s larger goal to support the ranchers, farmers, and gardeners. There is something very significant going on here, and I am standing on the curb clapping my hands.
I love wool, and I support WOOL WEEK 100% Aren’t we living in fun times.
Goodness, this is exciting. I hope we are able to sustain the momentum that has been started.
Prince Charles, we are behind you. Savile Road, here we come–line up the tailers.
I hope my readers will join in this worthwhile movement. Yikes
