LONDON PUB: The Hoop and Grapes 47 Aldgate High Street, The City

Filed under: PUBS — tmooresr @ 5:38 pm

My friend Tim Whittome emailed me about a pub at 47 Aldgate High Street which he and his mates visited last week.  Tim loves his pubs, so when he recommends, I listen.  His words were POST THIS PUB ON YOUR SITE.  Well the word is out that the food is good, the beer and wine are wonderful, AND the building is fantastic with an amazing history–now that’s a recommendation for you!    Look at the old Insurance plaque from the 18th century–still on the building.

I appreciate recommendations of good pubs and eating places which have great atmosphere.  One of our visitors who is in London for only a week wants a good pub experience, and usually a hit-and-miss search can be disappointing.  Thanks, Tim.  I’ll put THE HOOP AND GRAPES on my site.

Keep up the exploration;  we all appreciate it.

Best–
