THE DAILY MAIL: Thomas Moore’s PITCH ON THE STREET published in today’s edition

Filed under: Prince William and Kate Middleton — tmooresr @ 12:20 pm

The DAILY MAIL newspaper published an article with photographs about the campers who were “sleeping rough” to be assured of having the best view for the Royal Wedding.  Well, for sure I had the prime spot.  But, it took 3 days and 2 nights of sleeping on the street.  We had so much fun so we never slept.  My lovely new friends, the Maclaines,  contacted me a few hours ago with a photo from THE DAILY MAIL of my sitting in my chair covered in a black coat to keep warm during the early morning.  You can see our camp of sleeping bags.  It is not a very good image, but you can see our pitch and your blog host perched, frozen, happy, and thoroughly enjoying the scene and moment.  Incredible to be caught on film and then published.  Thank you, THE DAILY MAIL.  Thank you, the Maclaines, for spotting this for me.  Really amazing and so much fun!

  1. Tom! I had no idea it was so cold while you were out there. So not only lack of the creature comforts of bed, and easy access to food and loo, but you had to freeze too??? What an adventure! I feel like I am there from your pictures and posts. Thank you! I can’t wait to hear more about the whole event first hand when you get back home to Utah. Meantime, blessings from this side of the pond! Tamara
