KENSINGTON PALACE: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s new home. Who are her neighbors? This is very interesting

Filed under: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — tmooresr @ 11:05 am

Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge  have chosen to live in Kensington Palace where he grew up with his brother Harry.  He has chosen a modest two bedroom, one bathroom apartment which indicates he will probably use the apartment only for occasional visits to London, preferring his country home which is under construction.  These photographs of his royal neighbors are very interesting.  This is going to be an interesting experiment for the young couple.   The Prince turned down an apartment in Buckingham Palace to avoid impressions that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have reached residence in the Palace before Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.  Oh, my goodness, so complicated.  Interesting to watch what happens as the months roll on.

By the way, the State Rooms of Kensington Palace are open to the public.  A visit to London without enjoying Kensington Palace would be unfortunate.

  1. Such a disappointing exhibition. Hardly any atmosphere as very little furniture in the rooms. Notices almost unreadable as lighting so dim. We
asked one of the uniformed guides what ws meant by the room with all the lanterns in. He explained it was supposed to be the Royal family tree, but
if he hadn’t taken the time to very clearly explain it to us, we would have been none the wiser. Also heard several other visitors saying the whole
thing was badly planned and laid out and not worth a visit sadly.
