This afternoon, Maureen and I were on our way to the Duke of Edinburgh’s green grocer’s shop on the Windsor Estate to find some wonderful organic vegetables. We were stuck in traffic when I looked at the car next to our vehicle. It was a fabulous Rolls Royce. Since we were stopped in traffic, I started a conversation–usual. Then I noted the flag insets on the car, so I knew this once belonged to an important person who flew a personal standard. The driver knew I was keen about the car. He said it belonged to Diana Princess of Wales. I grabbed my camera and was very unhappy when the traffic began to move. I did get a photo of the standard inset and the gilt hood ornament. The car was spotless and in magnificent condition. What a fun moment. Nice
