Last evening was a wonderful concert at St. Martin-in-the-Field. I bought a seat in the balcony just over the players. When I am alone, this is where I like sit. I went early because I was in Trafalgar Square and decided to go early and soak up the atmosphere of this fabulous Gibbs 18th century church which became the model for the Anglican churches in colonial America. To hear Mozart, Bach, and Vivaldi by candlelight in this setting is the perfect way to finish the day. In the balcony–18 pounds, can you believe? Wow! I would go almost every night if I had the time. Maybe I will meet you there sometime.
