I had an British pen pal since the 6th grade. Her name was Helen Connor. She was in a car accident in Bridport, Dorset when she was 65 years old and died. We wrote all the time, and of course our families met up in London for years. Helen’s parents were antique dealers and the best cooks in the world. And the whole family said RAAAAAZZZZZZZZBERRY, and I loved, loved it. Hey why not get a pen pal? These days we probably would start by writing letters and end up by sending emails. But imagine, living in Australia, the States, or Canada and having a great British, maybe a Londoner, for a PEN PAL? Sounds great to me. Remember the movie 64 CHARING CROSS ROAD? I never will forget that movie!
