BENDER GROSVENOR REVEALS A LETTER WRITTEN BY QUEEN VICTORIA ABOUT JOHN BROWN: HISTORY TODAY January 2005

Bender Grosvenor’s discovery of Queen Victoria’s letter is amazing and revealing.  Princess Beatrice’s editing Queen Victoria’s diaries after her mother’s death has given historians reason to ponder for a century after the Queen’s death.  Obviously, there are reasons to cause us to conclude that the Royal Family did not wish the Queen’s very private life after Prince Albert’s death to become public.  Out of respect for the Ol’ Queen, the public has left the matter to their imaginations.  Bender Grosvenor has opened the door just a bit on the relationship between the Queen and her man servant by way of a letter which the author uncovered.   This is a January 2005 article in HISTORY TODAY, and I am earnestly trying to find a copy of that edition.  I think you will find the article interesting.  Thanks very much, Bender.
