THE HANOVERIAN BURIAL VAULT, ST GEORGE’S CHAPEL WINDSOR

Filed under: The Royal Family,Windsor Castle — tmooresr @ 3:33 am

For those who have been following my search for images and photographs of the burial vaults in St. George’s Chapel Windsor, I can update with this image which was sent to me by a reader in Australia.  I appreciate this image very much.  Now we need to find the image of the same vault but up close showing the coffins of George III and his immediate family.  Then we have to fine the Benjamin Stone photographs taken of the vault the end of the 19th century and a very important one showing the coffin of Edward VII, temporarily there until his monument was completed.  This is fascinating.  Please keep searching.  Thanks so much.  Tom
