A very tired Mrs. Moore and I could not bring ourselves to retire early; there was so much going on, and we had no intention of missing a thing. We wandered to the South Bank where we found hundreds of people gathered along the Thames enjoying the warm evening. Restaurants were filled to capacity. Seating along the river was packed with sweet hearts and friends enthralled in the lighted buildings across the river. My camera snapped a very emotional image of St.Pau’s Cathedral, and I was suddenly very hungry. The hostess at Strada found us a table outside under the canopy where we found ourselves engaged in Jubilee conversations with those around us. People were discussing the poll showing that the Queen has a popular vote of support of 85% in Britain. Everyone was delighted that Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall had for the first time had popular support to follow the Queen when that day comes. (I attribute much of that to my supportive BLOG!!) That news must be the happiest Golden Jubilee gift to the Queen. Perhaps all the drama of the “Dianagate” tragedy has been tastefully placed in its historical perspective. Well, everyone had opinions, and no one was holding back. This was one of the most enjoyable evenings “eating out” I have ever experienced in London. Everyone is in JUBILEE spirits, including Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moore. Oh my goodness, so many people are having such a wonderful good time.
