SHEPHERD MARKET: A CHARMING “VILLAGE” IN MAYFAIR ***EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS***

Filed under: LONDON SITES — tmooresr @ 11:24 pm

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to explore SHEPHERD MARKET which is like a small village right in the middle of Mayfair.  There are several unique shops including a lead soldier shop which attracted my wife who has gathered many lead soldiers over many years.  But what really struck us was the amazing number of restaurants.  We decided to have lamb in a Palestinian restaurant, and we were “all smiles” when our meals were placed before us.   We really enjoyed Shepherd Market, and I wondered to myself why I did not know this little London village before now.   The pubs were full, and the restaurants were very popular.  Goodness, what fun!

  1. We had drinks at Shepherd’s Tavern the day of the Big Lunch! An excellent spot.

  2. Phil and I have always loved this area. Cannot believe you’ve never been before. As you say-many great shops and restaurants here and great breakfast places for those who rent from London Connection- great that’s it’s around the corner down Half Moon St. from Green Park tube- and people watching at night after nine is amazing
