Another wonderful day trip is to Charles Darwin’s home, Down House, Luxted Road, Downe, Kent – BR6 7JT. It is an easy train and bus ride from central London. Very interesting and inspirational walking in the footsteps of Darwin. And there is a nice tea room for lunch. A National Heritage Site.
