When the Queen came on to the balcony of Buckingham Palace during her Diamond Jubilee celebrations, those standing with her were Charles and Camilla, William and Catherine, and Prince Harry. I agree with this article that states that the Queen was stating in very strong terms that THIS WAS THE FUTURE OF THE ROYAL FAMILY. Many members of her family that usually crowd the balcony were not invited to stand on the balcony. It was not an attempt to exclude on this great celebration day; rather, it was the Queen’s opportunity to define her “blood” heirs. With a very rapidly growing Royal Family, the Queen did not wish to take the eye off the ball as to WHO ARE HER HEIRS. I thought it was a master stroke on her part. This Queen knows what she is doing and is one shrewd sovereign! I find this article very interesting.
