HENRY VIII’s 1530 PETITION TO THE POPE TO ANNUL HIS MARRIAGE TO CATHERINE OF ARAGON. AMAZING DOCUMENT

Filed under: BRITISH HISTORY — tmooresr @ 1:01 pm

We all know about the efforts of Henry VIII and Sir Thomas More to annul the marriage of the King and Catherine of Aragon.    The King’s petition to the Pope went to the Pope with many supporters’ seals in 1530.  This is a spectacular document and is now able to be seen by the public at a special exhibition at the Vatican.  Wow!  Talk about something fantastic to see.
