ENJOY! These are really great images to see in spite of their quality. With near-war between Iran and Israel, revolution in Syria, unemployment around the world, continuing conflicts between Pakistan and India, I prefer to write about Britain, London, British History, and about my “wanderings” through the streets of my favorite city in the world. The World may have gone crazy, but I am sticking to the old phrase KEEP CALM AND……. I CANNOT IMAGE HATING SO MUCH WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH TO LOVE. So, on we go with all things British (with a bit of US and France in the mix). Thank goodness for the steady figure of the Queen–and a few others.

A stunning Queen Alexandra, Queen and Empress, wearing Queen Victoria’s “Starburst Jewel,” her wedding necklace must altered and aggrandized, and King George IV’s “Circlet.” She was the epitome of the EDWARD AGE. I like her very much: quiet, elegant, but very influential behind the scenes.
