QUEEN VICTORIA’S OSBORNE HOUSE BEACH OPEN TO THE PUBLIC — Excellent historical detail

Filed under: Queen Victoria — tmooresr @ 2:06 am

I have difficulty understanding how Queen Victoria’s family enjoyed swimming at Cowes, Isle of Wight.  I have been to Osborne House many times, and I have never felt “warm” ever.  Even in July and August, I wear a jacket of some kind.  While I take pictures on the terraces, I am always cold or better said  CHILLY.  The thought of swimming at Osborne House Beach sends goose-bumps up my spine.  Prince Albert loved it, so the Queen followed.    Often, she swam twice a day! Burr!  Great article.  I included an article about Osborne Beach a few days ago with interesting photographs, but this article contains interesting details.  Wouldn’t it be fabulous to take a “time machine” and spend an hour chatting with the Old Queen?  She was quite the personality.  Enjoy.
