Greetings, Mr Moore. Perhaps you can help me with this information. When first seeing “Eros” in 1968, I recall it being in the center of a small roundabout–the statue and steps, with people “hanging out” there, encircled by vehicle traffic.
But at Piccadilly Circus this past June, there was no need to cross the road to sit on the steps around the statue–it’s a sort of plaza extending from the sidewalk right to the steps.
