ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL: THE INTERIOR AND THE “GREAT MODEL” 1710 AD

Filed under: St Paul's Cathedral — tmooresr @ 9:07 am

These images of ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL and its interior are from the VIRTUAL TOUR of the Cathedral found on the St. Paul’s website.  This magnificent structure and Wren’s GREAT MODEL stand apart from all the other great historic sites in this splendid city.  It is not my plan to tell the story of ST PAUL’S;  rather, I want to stir visitors’s interest to know the building and the Great Model before their visits in order understand and appreciate the great history which, for me, still dominates London’s skyline.  I refuse to let the “pickle” distract me.   These images are absolutely magnificent.  I hope you enjoy the images as I have.

AND NOW THE GREAT MODEL WHICH SIR CHRISTOPHER WREN CREATED TO PROMOTE HIS SECOND DESIGN.  IT IS NOW ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE CATHEDRAL, IN A LARGE ROOM WHERE IT WAS CREATED.
