I have a stack of books by my side of the bed which at times climbs higher than the bedside lamp. I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday to see what might interest me. I found five publications which I will be reading. If any of you have read these books, let me her from you. I am particularly interested in Churchill’s words about his “contemporaries.” The writing about the China Trade is of interest to me because my wife’s family were actively involved in the China Trade, sailing from Boston to Canton before 1850. Exciting stuff.
