Everywhere I go, I see posters and artwork with THE OLYMPIC GAMES as the theme. THE CITY IS GETTING REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE SUMMER GAMES 2012, the year of the Queen’s DIAMOND JUBILEE. What a BANG for her.
On the way to WEMBLEY yesterday, I saw a very large poster advertising the Olympic Games in London. It was really beautiful. I thought to myself that the ART OF THE LONDON GAMES would be a fantastic investment for someone who will attending.
In Mayfair, there is an art gallery that is offering several of the posters from previous games. These historic posters are sellling for 10,000 pounds for the early ones. I won’t be around for the 2012 posters to be worth 10,000 pounds, but wouldn’t it be fun to gather the art of this great event? The posters that I am beginning to see here now are FABULOUS.
Let me post images of some of the earlier games. Really beautiful, I think. Actually, I am off to PORTOBELLO for an hour to see what posters I might find.
