VISCOUNT LINLEY: “BYE, BYE MOTHER AND ALL YOUR ROYAL STUFF” THE INSENSITIVE GREED OF A SON WHO WILL “SHOW HIS COLORS” SNIFF, SNIFF

I wouldn’t trust Viscount Linley whatsoever.  We know of rumors of drug hints, double sheets, insurance collections, disregard for sale of family possessions–on and on the rumors go.  Smoke and fire theory?  What is so sad is he thinks the “world” doesn’t know, OR he doesn’t care.  What a contrast to his sister.  Read this auction summary of Princess Margaret’s royal gifts.  And the Queen stays above it, but to submit her to this!  ET TU, BRUTE, LINLEY?  I support Prince Charles’s style of cutting off the hangers-on who seem to continue to embarrass the Queen.  Lord Linley for one!

THE VAN CLIBURN AUCTION *** Where have I heard that name before!

Filed under: Auctions — tmooresr @ 9:37 am

I remember the news that Van Cliburn had won the coveted piano competition in Moscow.  I remember my mother was ecstatic.  Some years later, he played with the Utah Symphony, and Stephanie and I were invited to the after-symphony party–I couldn’t get over how tall he was.  Then, for some reason, I never heard about him for years!  Now, he surfaces again with an auction of his personal possessions.  This should be interesting, especially some of the fine English furniture.

THE BEAU SANCY DIAMOND was given as a wedding present to Marie deMedici.  Eventually, it ended up in the collection of  England’s William III and Queen Mary.  The jewel eventually became part of the royal jewels of the Emperor William III.  It is now being auctioned by the Emperor’s great grandson to settle family debts.  The question is, who is going to buy this famous diamond?  Read all about it.
