REMEMBRANCE DAY / POPPY DAY: THE 11TH HOUR, THE 11TH DAY, THE 11TH MONTH
11 November, 2012 will be REMEMBRANCE DAY – the day to lower one’s head in gratitude for those who gave their lives for their country. The Memorial Day is celebrated throughout the Commonwealth today. If you are in London on 11 November, the parades and honoring comrades march past the Cenotaph on Whitehall. The Queen and the Royal Family lead the day of gratitude. It is Poppy Day in memory of Flanders Fields where poppies bloomed as death and war raged on.
