THE DAYS WHEN MONEY FELT AND LOOKED LIKE REAL MONEY! Look how beautiful!
Interesting to me because British blank notes did not carry the Sovereign’s image until after the death of George VI in 1952. Queen Elizabeth II is the first British monarch to have her image on bank notes. And this is Newfoundland—ahead of their time.

RUMOR HAS IT THAT GERMANY IS AGAIN PRINTING GERMAN MARKS
I have been in London for two days, and I have heard the “rumor” three times that the German government has ordered the reprinting of German Marks in Switzerland. Has anyone heard this rapidly growing rumor? If it is true, this is a significant decision. Being in London is like being at the “nerve center” these days. Wow! What a rumor!
