Even the idea of the Queen jumping out of a helicopter and parachuting into the Olympic Stadium stunned me. As I grinned, a big grin, I thought to myself: WHAT WOULD QUEEN MARY HAVE THOUGHT? Or even better, can you imagine tossing old Queen Victoria out of a helicopter to parachute into the arena? The very thought of it makes me go pale. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EVENING
The Queen looked fabulous in her peach dress wearing the William IV diamond broach and Queen Mary’s diamond necklace! Imagine, this lady is in her 88th year and has been on the road celebrating her Diamond Jubilee for weeks now. Quite amazing. Really!

BIG BEN TOWER –NAME CHANGED TO ELIZABETH TOWER ***I DON’T THINK THAT IS GOING TO WORK***
We all know that it is the bell that is named Big Ben, but we all call it Big Ben meaning the tower. Now, during the Diamond Jubilee, the tower has been renamed Elizabeth Tower to honor the Queen. Something inside me says that it will continue to be known as Big Ben. I suppose the reason behind this renaming is the tower on the House of Lords end of the Houses of Parliament/Palace of Westminster is VICTORIA tower, the Queen who also had a Diamond Jubilee. We’ll see.
