MY SECOND TRIP TO THE NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY. THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE PORTRAIT IS WINNING ME OVER
Sometimes, I am fickle, I suppose. I stood in front of the large portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge and decided that I like it. I have to say, it is far better being in front of the portrait than looking at photographs. So, my second day viewing gets two thumbs up. It is certainly unexpected.

THE NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY: THE FIRST OFFICIAL PORTRAIT OF THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE CAUSES “LONDON BUZZ”
Yesterday, you could hardly get into the NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY as people were lined up to see the first official portrait of THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE. There are those including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who like it. There are others who say the portrait makes the beautiful young Duchess appear “old.” I suppose I can have an opinion. What do I think? In my view, the portrait looks like a hologram. It isn’t a question of my disliking the portrait; I just don’t LIKE it! For whatever that means, that is my reaction. But one thing is for sure: no one is going to the National Portrait Gallery to see a portrait of Beatrix Potter midst this stir.

KATHERINE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE: FASCINATION LEADS TO DISCOVERY
I am not sure this matters any more. We like the Duchess for the person she is, and for her wonderful qualities–perfect for William, for the Royal Family, and for the nation. Bravo, Katherine Duchess of Cambridge! Gentrification is a very interesting social phenomenon. We have learned that “aristocrats of the soul” are our best models. The ability to gather people together personally and nationally is a rare, rare quality–especially by “mentally sound” individuals.

The Duchess of Cambridge has gone “solo” today in the northeast of England. Prince William is attending a memorial service for his beloved nanny. The Duchess of Cambridge has proved to be a “natural” at the job, and everyone responds to her warm smiles and carrying manner. She is visiting a drug addition center; drug addiction is one of the Duchess’s central focuses. She is perfect for the job, and the public respond warmly to charming and wonderful young lady–one day to be queen. I think these snapes from YOUTUBE say it all.
