THE QUEEN ATTENDS EASTER SERVICES AT ST. GEORGE’S CHAPEL, WINDSOR
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne and her husband attended Easter Services at Windsor Castle this morning. The Queen never ceases to amaze me she adheres to the traditions of her family, year after year. Her continuity gives the nation a feel of great stability; it is like the sun coming up each morning. Christmas is Windsor, New Year is Sandringham, Easter is Windsor, June is London, August and September are Balmoral–year after year, with a new hat and that wonderful smile.

EASTER AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY on Piccadilly: THE TADDEI TONDO
If I were in London today for the Easter period, I would celebrate the Resurrection of Christ by visiting the Royal Academy on Piccadilly to stand before one of the most important scenes in all sculpture: the 1505 Taddei Tondo of Michelangelo. I have come to the RA several times over the years, and rarely do I find more than just a few people enjoying this magnificent tondo. It is EASTER, and Church, Oratorios, choirs, Easter eggs, daffodils, and spring colors mean a great deal to the cultures of the Western World; but for me, I want to spend some of my day taking in the magnificence of this beautiful work by Michelangelo. It is in the Royal Academy on Piccadilly and is easily reached, right off the street. Absolutely beautiful and certainly the spirit of Easter.

EASTER IN LONDON: Westminster Abbey
The great music produced for religious holidays has affected all our lives. For me Christmas and Easter mean MUSIC. Easter is nearly here, and I am eager to hear the great pieces of music we all consider the greatest music our the Western World. For me, Easter in London means Westminster Abbey. I thought I would publish information about Westminster for Easter week in hopes my readers who are in London will be enticed to experience this magnificent tradition–historical as well as religious. Look at all this. The chocolate Easter Egg from Fortnum and Mason pales in comparison to this Abbey experience–and how!
