Prince William was given the title of Duke of Cambridge by the Queen at the time of his marriage in Westminster Abbey on 29 April. The title has been unused for many years, but its history is very interesting. The Prime Ministers of both New Zealand and Australia have invited HRH Prince William to visit their countries next week. The Prince fits his new roll like a kid glove! He is a STAR. This time, the two governors have called on the young Prince to lift spirits and morale. He has the easy manner, and he connects with people quickly and sincerely. This is fabulous to watch. He is comfortable in his own skin.
The visit is intended to show the Royal Family’s support for the people living in areas devastated by recent natural disasters. He will travel alone, the Palace reports.
The Prince will travel on the part of the Queen, first stopping in Christchurch, New Zealand on 17 March. What a future this young prince has. He is the right person in the right place at the time as the old saying goes. The Queen is watching this very carefully, I am sure, and enjoying every minute of it. The Prince is young, energetic, loves people, and responds instantly to those he meets. Goodness, it is perfect! I am so happy for the Queen. It must be a real breath of fresh air. There is indeed a sad side to it as well. But, we will get beyond that somehow.
