I love men who can show devotion to their wives and recognize the great women in their lives. One of my readers sent this memorial to me this afternoon. He says it is the greatest tribute from a loving man for his devoted wife he has ever read. I thought my other readers would like to share this tribute. I read it to my wife, and she smiled and winked at me with that look only good wives know how to give. I think it is wonderful to honor our wives while they are alive, not when they have passed. Then the marble tribute is really meaningful because everyone around knows it is true. Lovely. THE REFERENCE TO A CONTEMPORARY MAGAZINE WHERE THE TRIBUTE ORIGINATED IS MOST AMUSING. IT REMINDS ME WHEN I USED TO WRITE ARTICLES IN GRADUATE SCHOOL! THIS WAS 1812; ANYONE HAVE THE GENTLEMAN’S MAGAZINE REFERRED TO LYING AROUND SOMEWHERE?
