MAY OF TECK was the only daughter of the Teck Family, Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck, cousin of Queen Victoria and granddaughter of King George III. May was selected as a potential consort by Queen Victoria for her grandson the Duke of Clarence, Prince of Wales, who died before the marriage. ”Poor Mary” was then passed to the Duke of Clarence’s younger brother, the Duke of York, who became King George V and his wife became Queen Mary. It was story of a family who was “slightly flawed” but were rescued by Queen Victoria, paying no attention to the gossip of the European Royal Houses. Queen Mary’s influence on today’s Queen Elizabeth is immeasurable. QUEEN MARY WASTHE STAR OF THE FAMILY.
THE BROTHERS: ADOLPHUS, MARQUESS OF CAMBRIDGE

ALEXANDER, EARL OF ATHLONE

One of the most talented Prince of Wales was the educated, refined, talented, and elegant FREDERICK, PRINCE OF WALES who died before his father, King George II, leaving King George III to ascend the throne. How different history would have been had he reigned with his consort Augusta, Princess of Wales instead of his son King George III whose physical illnesses lead to the Regency of George IV. The later Georgian era would have been a very different era.
